Your new baby will have hiccups several times a day. They are pretty impressive, because her whole body will jerk with each hiccup. They only last a minute or two, and they don't hurt.

Her body is still overly-sensitive to little things like swallowing, burping and urping. So hiccups will happen a lot. You actually don't have to do anything to make them stop. They will stop on their own. Gradually, after a few weeks, her tendency to hiccup will stop.
